Improving the energy performance of buildings is one of the key challenges in creating a more efficient, sustainable, and future-ready building stock. To address this challenge, EFFIC is developing the EFFIC-OSS project, an initiative based on the One-Stop-Shop (OSS) model that simplifies the renovation process for homeowners and homeowners' associations by providing a single point of contact throughout the entire journey.

As part of the project, during 2026, EFFIC developed a training programme for its commercial teams with the aim of strengthening their knowledge and providing them with the tools needed to deliver better guidance and support to customers.

The programme was delivered online and combined theoretical content with practical sessions. In total, it consisted of seven thematic modules and one role-play exercise, designed to recreate real-life customer service and advisory scenarios

Throughout the sessions, participants gained a deeper understanding of EFFIC's value proposition and the One-Stop-Shop model, commercial strategies to identify customer needs, available financing options and public funding schemes that can facilitate the implementation of renovation projects. In addition, the training highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships and provided an overview of the technical processes that make comprehensive renovation possible, from the initial assessment through project preparation and implementation

The programme also helped align knowledge and best practices across the commercial teams, ensuring that all professionals share a common understanding of EFFIC's services and of how to effectively support customers throughout the entire renovation process.

This initiative forms part of the exploitation activities of the EFFIC-OSS project and contributes to one of its main objectives: promoting the wider deployment of the One-Stop-Shop model in Spain and encouraging the uptake of high-quality energy renovation projects. Investing in the training of commercial teams is ultimately an investment in improving the customer experience and accelerating the transition towards a more energy-efficient and sustainable building stock.
